Huge Endorsement For Obama! More Super Help!!!

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0408/9976.html

A California congresswoman with long ties to both Clintons will announce her endorsement of Barack Obama today, a campaign source said.

Rep. Lois Capps, who represents a district on California's central coast, is the third member of Congress to announce an endorsement of Senator Obama Wednesday, the day after he responded sharply to one of the deepest crises of his campaign, a confrontational and, he said, "appalling" set of remarks by his former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. The campaign is using the flurry of endorsements to shore up political support and demonstrate the frontrunner's continuing strength.

----------------

The tide has been stemed and Senator Obama is clearly on the victory path.  He will continue to roll out major superdelegates like this all the way until Denver if he has to, but hopefully it does not come to that.

Excellent day for Supers!!!

Obama - 3
Clinton - 2

Interesting Timing (none / 0)

Which super delegate with any sound judgement refuses to endorse Obama after 12 straight victories but endorses him immediately after this new dust up with his pastor?

Re: Interesting Timing (2.00 / 1)

Maybe they realize as they have been hesitating Obama has been fighting on multiple fronts.  Waiting longer just prolongs the battle on the left, distracting us from the important battle against the right.

I don't understand why anyone doesn't want to stop the squabbling among the troops as soon as possible to let them rest up for the bit battle coming up.

Re: Put away the shovels!!!!!! (2.00 / 2)

For everyone wanting to shovel dirt on Barack Obama's political career. It is not over. Sorry, but he addresses his issues with integrity ,not spin and a lot of people respect that. So put the shovels back in your sheds, outhouses, root cellars,or wherever it is that you mouthbreathers keep your shovels, he's not dead yet.

Re: Huge Endorsement For Obama! More Super (2.00 / 1)

Anyone else see an interesting pattern? For a while now we've heard of this huge pool of superdelegates that have privately said they are for Obama and that any moment now if he can get out of this 2 month long string of bad press they are going to come out enmass. So instead of the big jump they are using them tactically by ensuring they tie or beat the number of new Clinton endorsements each day.

Re: Huge Endorsement (2.00 / 1)

Note to Hillary: calling them "automatic delegates" isn't catching on.  Its time to throw this little bit of spin in the reject pile.

Obama now has not only a major of Senators supporting him, but also a majority of House members.

You know, I always knew our esteemed senators and congressional leaders had good insight and judgment.

They are making us proud!
