Edwards To Endorse Obama?

http://thepage.time.com/2008/05/14/ready -to-choose/

No link or info, but Halperin would not post this without knowing something i think.

Anyone have any more info or rumors at least?

Sorry for low info, just trying to see whats going on here.

Don't know (none / 0)

But Halperin has been posting more lines just to withdraw them afterwards. I'm not sure he wouldn't post a rumour just for the fun of it.

Also, does anyone know whether Edwards controls his 19 delegates?

Dont know about that. but.... (2.00 / 1)

...this would be the news of the day, and everyone would forget about the WV primary.  HRC will move heaven and earth to prevent this because this would be really big.

I always thought JE would make a great Attorney General

What WV primary? (none / 0)

congratulations and all, but statistically, WV isn't Iowa.

Edwards is almost irrelevant (none / 0)

I love the guy, but he could have endorsed last Wednesday but he didn't.

I think I know why he won't endorse.

Its pretty simple,  he doesnt want to get Embaressed by Hillary when he endorses and she doesn't drop out.

So by not endorsing he holds onto relevancy just a little more.

Other than that, can't wait to see Edwards in the cabinet.

My knees tremble at the excitement of our next administration.

"My knees tremble at the excitement of our next administration."

Wow that is almost as creepy as having a thrill run up your leg.  What is it with the physical manifestations of Obama-mania?

but my knees that is from the reality that we are taking back the white house and not only will we reverse the devestation brought on my Bush but we will make a better America.

You have a problem with a Super-Star Cabinet?
We didnt have a problem with these guys campaigning for Iowa?

So yea, everyday I walk around with a big smile and I shadow box imaginary republicans.

Re: Edwards is almost irrelevant (none / 0)

Am I creep that I was in tears with our victory in Miss?

That I called my family and ranted and raved that not only are we winning the presidency but continuing the onslaught on congressional republicans?

Tell me why thats creepy, to love Democrats winning and America moving forward.

Re: Edwards is almost irrelevant (none / 0)

I didn't say you are a creep.  I said it's creepy when people talk about their physical reactions to Obama world.  The fainting at rallies, CM's ridiculous thrilling of his leg...etc.  It is strangely reminiscent of the things you hear about happening in churches.

Well, I fall asleep when Hillary speaks (2.00 / 0)

which is also reminiscent of the things you hear about happening in churches.

I get the same feeling when certain diarists talk about how beautiful and radiant Hillary looked in her coral pant suit.

Re: Edwards is almost irrelevant (none / 0)

LOL yeah that is kinda weird too.  Hey, maybe it's just me but I don't look to politicians to fill my soul, heal my wounds, make me weep.  I want competant, intelligent people running my country and if I want to get all giddy over a performer I will go see Trent Reznor for that.  :P

"competent and intelligent" was the kool-aid Cheney and Rumsfeld sold in 2000.

irrelevant? (none / 0)

He has anywhere from 19-26 delegates in his back pocket.  That makes him very relevant!

Re: Edwards To Endorse Obama? (none / 0)

Maybe he really likes both candidates and is torn on who to endorse?

I would say at this point we're starting to see a little desperation on the part of the woman who I support... NY Governor Paterson

Ambinder (2.00 / 1)

Ambinder claims the Obama camp is telling people to expect a "big" endorsement tonight, so Halperin may be right.

NARAL? (none / 0)

I figured it was NARAL but why would they announce Edwards AND NARAL on the same day?

Well, Townhall.com just endorsed Hillary (none / 0)

so it's not them.

I love it!

I love it!

Guys,
What if it is Michigan Senator Carl Levin? That woudl also make sense to resolve the Michigan Issue

Apprently there will be a rally in Grand Rapids at 7pm.

Re: Edwards To Endorse Obama? (none / 0)

The 3rd Option would be
VIRGINIA JUNIOR SENATOR JIM WEBB

Would also make sense.

by Obamafan on Wed May 14, 2008 at 03:37:41 PM EST

As long as we're speculating... (none / 0)

Edwards has come darn close to endorsing Obama in the last week, effectively saying he voted for him. What if Edwards decided to endorse Obama before North Carolina and Obama said, "Not so fast. I'm going to win North Carolina by a pretty big margin, but I'm going to get blown away in West Virginia. How about we hold your endorsement until the day after West Virginia to monopolize the news cycle and end any post WV media attention for Hillary?"

Just idle speculation of course, but what if?

Re: Edwards To Endorse Obama? (none / 0)

They are using Michigan to roll out this endorsement.  Edwards makes immense sense because of the fact he also wasn't on the ballot.  It allows them to both make the Michigan argument.

After this Obama will be heading to Florida next week.  I think we can look for another big endorsement on that day.  Perhaps Al Gore.

by Piuma on Wed May 14, 2008 at 03:55:55 PM EST

Good point (none / 0)

I forgot that Edwards also wasn't on the ballot and might want some say in how MI is handled. Hmmm.

Re: Edwards To Endorse Obama? (none / 0)

At this point, would you rather have Webb or Edwards?

Edwards is probably the more recognizable name to the average person, but I'd love to see it be Webb.

Re: Edwards To Endorse Obama? (none / 0)

Webb is coming out with a book tomorrow - what a great way to start the tour?
